TS5A3166 - State of the COM pin at power supply ramp up

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A3166

Hi,

We are planning to use the SPST switch - TS5A3166  as shown in the circuit below

We require the output to be in low state (0V) during the 5V power supply ramp up.

1. What will be state of the COM pin of TS5A3166 during  the 5V power supply ramp up?

2. Will the COM pin get connected to the NO pin during ramp up and then get disconnected (due to pull-down on IN pin) after the supply is stable?

Regards,

Elvin

  • Elvin,

Thank you for you questions. I have contacted the appropriate applications engineer for this device. He will contact you soon.

    Thank you,
    Adam
  • Hi Elvin ,

The COM will be grounded since the control is pulled down to gnd making the COM to NO (normally open) disconnected and with the 10k ,it is grounded . Once the supply is stable , output depends on the control pin logic . Without the power supply pins will in HiZ .
The correction to the pin table has been put in and is being worked on .
