Doubt on 'SN74CBTD1G125'

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74CBTD1G125, TS5A3159

I am in the process of designing a circuit, where the requirement is to pull down a certain signal to ground, and I have chosen 'SN74CBTD1G125' for by circuit. My logic goes this way that, when OE is low A=B, where B will be grounded(meaning 'B' will be connected to ground) and when I want to ground signal at 'A' I give a logic value low at OE, I have given a 5V VCC supply. My question is my signal at 'A' has a value of 1.8V, will I be ale to ground the signal, although datasheet give a range of -0.5 to 7V I/P voltage range, I would like to confirm.

Thanks in advance for the reply.

  • Hi Pritam ,

Could you give a block diagram explaining the requirement .
This is a simple NMOS switch where the A side will be equal to B side when enabled and disconnected when OE is high . The input range applies for OE input . A and B are I/O .
I would imagine you would require a SPDT switch like TS5A3159 where one can ground or select a voltage to be applied depending on the select signal .
