no hsync and vsync about ts3v713el

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3V713EL, TS3V712E

hi all,

I want to make vga switch used ts3v713el(2 in 1 out),but this is a promblem now.when the chip is powerdown, the input hsync&vsync signal voltage level is normal (5V,negative pulse).if the chip is powerup, the input sync is down to about 3V.frequency and widh is correct.RGB signal can be capured on output port pin,but there is no sync signal on output port, hsync or vsync.

the 5V supply is correct i think, but i am not sure.

thanks.

  • Wang,

I searched the signal switches and multiplexers forums and found this posts below that might be helpful.

The TS3V713EL device has integrated level shifters on the Hsync and Vsync pins.

You can see in this diagram that there are two different voltage nodes 3.3 V and 5V being used for the digital Vsync, Hsync, SDA, and SCL signals.  The SDA and SCL pins are shifted by using different pull up resistors and the Hsync and Vsync pins are shifted voltage levels by the integrated voltage level shifters.

If you do not want a level shifting feature on the Hsync and Vsync pins you can use the TS3V712E device.

    Thank you,

    Adam
