SN74LV4051A-Q1: SN74LV4051A-Q1 Charge Injection

Part Number: SN74LV4051A-Q1

Scanning through the SN74LV4051A-Q1 datasheet, I didn't find any mention of the charge injection specification.  Could you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Cameron

  • Cameron,

The charge injection value for the SN74LV4051A-Q1 device is labeled “crosstalk” (control input to signal output) in the datasheet.

Figure 8 shows that this spec is measuring the change in voltage on the signal path when the logic control pin INH is toggled.

Here is an excerpt from the application note “Selecting the right Texas Instruments Signal Switch the correct signal switch”

Our more recently developed analog switches specify the charge injection in pico coulombs (pC) which is calculated from the change in voltage when toggling the logic control signal multiplied by the load capacitance Q = (∆V)(C)
