TS12A44514: V,IH at VCC = 12V

Part Number: TS12A44514
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MUX509

Team-

For VCC = 12V, page 6 of data sheet indicates that VIH,min = 5V.

However, section 8.1.1, page 11, states that "...When Vcc reaches 12V, the level threshold is about 3V".

I need to drive this device with 3.3V logic, while VCC = 12V.

Please confirm that this will work, and please clarify the data sheet either by updating the parametric data or removing this language from 8.1.1.

Thanks, Best, Steve

  • Steve,

Please use the value stated in the electrical specification table Vih min = 5V when Vcc = 12 V.

I agree the that page 11 has poorly worded statement letting customers know that the Vih min level is proportional to Vcc.  I will submit this to our datasheet error and change backlog.

If you would like a device that can pass 12 V signals with logic control at 3.3 V signals look at our MUX family of switches like MUX509

Sorry for the confusion.  Let me know if you have additional questions.

    Thank you,

    Adam

  • Thanks, please consider removing the other language in the data sheet that I pointed out.

    It's misleading and confusing.

    Thanks again, best, Steve
