Please suggest a similar part to LC78212-E that is end of life (EOL) last year

The purpose of this mail is to have you support to suggest the right part to replace OnSemi – LC78212-E.   This device is EOL and we need a replacement. 

 

We have confirm that the configuration for LC78212 is 3 pair : 1 pair, 3 pair : 1 pair  and 2 pair: 1 pair

8 Stereo input and 3 stereo output with MUX switch

 

Please advise the closest part,

    I did a quick search on the E2E forums and found these as audio switch options:

    If you could please provide a little more clarity on how the input of the system should look that would be greatly appreciated. At this moment I do not know where 8 input signals are going to which output signals. Will it be the same as you listed above? 3:1, 3:1, and 2:1 just like the part you are trying to replace?

    Do you know what voltage levels you will be working with? The voltage value on the part you're looking at is quite high.

    Yes, we would like exactly the same as the part we are trying to replace.

    +-15V

  • Hello,

    Unfortunately we do not currently have a device that has that exact configuration.

    However, TI offers a series of switches which does operate in the Vcc level you mentioned.

    Would you be willing to do the same application but with a series of different switches?

    You could do a combination with: 

    2 MUX509 (2 Ch. 4:1)

    1 CD4053B (3 Ch. 2:1)

    You could technically achieve the same functionality and similar performance specs with this combination of switches.
