SN74LVC1G3157-Q1: Some questions about SN74LVC1G3157-Q1

Part Number: SN74LVC1G3157-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G3157, SN74CBTLV1G125-Q1

Dear Sir

My project will use TI SN74LVC1G3157-Q1. It maybe run 1KK PCS/Y.

But there are some questions which i can not found in the datasheet.

1,It  is a unilateral diode or a bilateral diode which connect the S to D of the  MOSFET  in side of  SN74LVC1G3157?

2,How about the ESD of SELECT pin?

Thanks!

  • Hi Bin,

SN74LVC1G3157-Q1 does have the bilateral diode structure on S and D of the MOSFET. For select pin, it doesn't have similar ESD structure.

I guess you ask this question because you will have the case when Vcc = 0 while S or D is not 0V. And it's difficult to manage the power-up sequence.

I would recommend SN74CBTLV1G125-Q1. It can support 3.3V Vcc and both analog pin and digital pins are protected by a unique ESD structure. The only issue is that it's not 2:1 MUX. It is 1:1. Therefore, you are going to need 2 chips.
