Do we have a Multiplexer device which can support 8 input/8 output and every Chanel can be enable or disable?

Hi team,

Do we have a Multiplexer device which can support  8 input/8 output and every Chanel can be enable or disable?

Thinks!

  • Hi Eggsy,

We do not currently have a device that supports 8inputs/8outputs with individual control of each channel. We do have 1:1, 8channel devices with 2 control pins (1 for the first 4 channels, and another for the second 4 channels, such as the SN74CBT3244).

We also have a 1:1, 4channel device in the SN74LV4066A with individual control of each channel . You can use two of these devices to accomplish the same goal!

What are you trying to accomplish where you need individual control of each channel?

  • Eggsy,

You can use the ti.com switch selection tool to look for an 8-channel 1:1 device.  Using the channel count and configuration filters the tool returns 12 different devices.  Many of the large channel count devices have EN pins which will enable or disable all the channels simultaneously.

What are you attempting to connect to the mux?  What are the voltage and bandwidth requirements for your signal path.  These can help narrow down the switch selection.

What do you think about the SN74CBT3345?

    Thank you,

    Adam

  • Hi Dakotah and Adam,

Thanks for your help! Customer use MUX device for AI/AO PLC module.

Input Voltage is up to 10V and power voltage is 12V or 15V.

So I think CD4066B will be a good choice. Use two CD4066B to achieve the goal. Do you think so?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Eggsy,

Based on your supply/input voltage needs that is a good recommendation!
