SN74CBTLV3125: on resistance of the FET switch 1 (between pins 11 and 12) looks to be kilo Ohms instead of less than 5 Ohms

Part Number: SN74CBTLV3125

Hello team,

Hope you are doing well. When you get a chance can you help with below customer question (I can share schematic offline)

the on resistance of the FET switch 1 (between pins 11 and 12) looks to be kilo Ohms instead of less than 5 Ohms.

  • Randhir,

This is not expected behavior.  Please provide the schematic to see if there is anything obvious that could damage the device.

    1) How many devices have this behavior vs how many do not have this behavior?

    2) How are you measuring the on-resistance?  Are you observing it in the system or when the IC is removed from the system?  When the Ron is measured for characterization it is the voltage drop between the A and B terminals when specified current passed through the switch.

    3) Here is the link for instructions on how to handle customer returns on ti.com.

    Thank you,

    Adam
