SN74CBT162292: Question about the bit-to-bit skew

Part Number: SN74CBT162292
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74CBT16233, SN74CBT16292, SN74CBT16232,

Hi team,

My customer would like to use SN74CBT162292 device as 12 single-end channel, but the bit-to-bit skew should be within 2.5ns. Could you please share this spec? In addition, please also share this parameter of SN74CBT16292, SN74CBT16232, SN74CBT16233, etc. Thanks a lot!

Best Regards

  • Hi, Zhengquan,

Unfortunately we do not have characterization data of the bit-to-bit skew for any of these older devices listed.

However, since skew can be defined as the difference in propagation delay between two different channels, and given the maximum propagation delay of the SN74CBT162292 is only 1.9 ns, it is very unlikely for the skew number to go higher than 2.5 ns. Typically, for most of these passive FET switches, skew is typically in pico-seconds.

If you are looking for devices with clearly defined skew spec, I would recommend something like the TS3DDR4000, TS5MP645, or the TS3DDR3812

    Thanks,

    David
