SN74CBTLV3257-EP: Power-up, UVLO

Part Number: SN74CBTLV3257-EP

Dear TI team,

I have a question about the SN74CBTLV3257-EP device.

What is the state of the SN74CBTLV3257-EP device at power-up (with a VCC rising slowly, in several ms) if the "not_OE" pin is connected to VCC via a pull-up resistor ? Indeed, it isn't specify in the datasheet if this device has an UVLO.

Do all the switches of the multiplexer remain off, or can they have some parasitic turn on ?

Thank you,
Thomas

  • Hi Thomas,

I ran the set-up in the lab and the state is OFF when not_OE is pulled up to VCC. I couldn't see any parasitic turn on even when increasing the voltage very slowly.

If the not_OE pin is low though, the device will be partially operational before 2.3V. So the device has no UVLO but is internally  close to what is shown in Figure 1 in the datasheet.

Let us know if you have more questions on this device.

    Best regards,

    Ambroise

  • Hi Ambroise,

thank you very much for the tests, it answers my question.

    Best regards,
    Thomas
