MUX509: Power Sequence

Part Number: MUX509

Hello,

I would like you to confirm whether there is any power sequence requirement in following usecase.

* User will use dual voltage (Positive and negative)

Is there any inhibition sequence between VDD and VSS ?

Best Regards,

  • Hello,

Thanks for your question. For power sequencing in devices without powered-off protection (such as MUX509), it is important to ensure that the power supplies VDD and VSS power up before voltage is present at the I/O pins.

There should not be concern about sequencing between VDD or VSS, as long as both are powered before the signal.

    Best regards,
    Kate

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

    I would like you to ask about other MUX50X(X = 6, 7, 8) series

Do other MUX50X also NOT have powered-off protection ?

    Best Regards,

  • Hello,

The MUX50x family does not have the powered-off protection feature.

What is your application and use case? What are the supply voltages (VDD, VSS) and I/O signal voltages needed?

Are you looking for a device with the powered-off protection feature? You can use the product search tool to filter devices by supply voltage, features (such as powered-off protection), and parameters.

More information about simplifying power sequencing with powered-off protection (and how to identify a device with this feature) in this TI Precision Labs training video.

Let me know if you need a suggestion for a device with powered-off protection based on your application.

    Best regards,
    Kate

  • Hello,

    Sorry for confusing you.

Customer just use several kind of MUX50X series. So I asked not only MUX509 but also MUX50X.(Since I can only choose one device on "part number" when I post E2E, I asked specific part number(MUX509).)

Your answer was enough for me, so I will close this thread.

    BR,
