SN74CB3T3245: IBIS model shows 2.1 V on output when input is 3.3 V

Part Number: SN74CB3T3245

I hope all is well!

I'm trying to simulate the SN74CB3T3245PW IBIS model but it is having some issues, please see below:

I seem to be running into a problem with the SN74CB3T3245PW IBIS model (your scdm055.ibs dated July 30, 2003).  When I attempt to pass a 3.3V signal through the model from pin 15 to pin 5 it comes out at only 2.1V.

Is there a newer model available? Do you have any other suggestions?

Thank you,

Adam

  • Hi Adam,

The CB3T devices are designed to level shift signals - See details from the SN74CB3T3245 datasheet.

Can you explain what you are trying to model?

IBIS models are for modeling logic pins and doesn’t really do a great job with signal path models.  You can use the SN74CBTLV3245A  for rail to rail switching and no level shift - It also has an IBIS and HSPice model available online.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks

    Saminah
