Hello,

For an SPI application:

I am trying to find a bus switch to isolate the connection the SPI bus connection between PCIe switch and SPI flash. And Dediprog programmer and same SPI flash

PCIe switch .....Bus Switch....SPI Flash

Header for SPI programmer...Bus switch...Same SPI Flash

Only one path will be ON at a time

An Octal (With 2 enables for each quad path) or two quad devices will work for my application. But I am not able to find a device that works at 1.8V. Is it okay to tie Vcc to 3.3V and run the I/O on both sides with 1.8V logic?

Can you recommend me an IC?

There are not any octal switches with 1.8 V controls.

There are quite a few 1.8 V quad bus switches, but it might be simpler to use 1.8 V quad 1:2 switches.

Hi Divakar,

As Clemens mentioned, it would be simpler to use 1.8V quad 1:2 switches in your application.

You can take a look at the TMUX1574 that has high bandwidth for better SPI signaling, as well as powered off protection for easier power sequencing. It has wide supply range of Wide supply range: 1.5 V to 5.5 and supports input signals beyond supply.

If you want to use 1.8 V quad bus switches, then TMUX1511 is a good recommendation as it supports 1.8V logic signals and it has a wider supply voltage range which gives designers more flexibility to use different power rails and on different projects.
