CD4053B-Q1: What is the power supply range for this device? Can it work with 3.3 V power supply?

Part Number: CD4053B-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01527

E2E,

Could you possible kindly help to confirm if CD4053-Q1 could work normally under the condition of power supply with 3.3V? From datasheet we can know that the supply voltage range is 3V~20V, but we want to double confirm with you that if it can work under 3.3V power supply when used in the system of TIDA-01527(as following link shows)

Thank you,

Adam

  • Adam,

The power supply range is listed in the datasheet as -0.5 to 20V. You'll also find some recommendations on design for the power supply in the 'Power Supply Recommendation' section of the datasheet.

This shouldn't be an issue. You may want to keep an eye on the Ron values though as you decrease gate voltage. You can expect it to increase as you approach lower Vgs values.

    Thanks,
    Rami
