Hi,

my customer is using SN74CBTLV3257 and SN74CBTLV3253, but now they need extend the operating temperature to 105C.

What's the best pin to pin upgrade part?

    SN74CBTLV3257-EP; there is no 105 °C device for the 3253,

    Howard,

    The SN74CBTLV3257-EP has a temperature range of -55 to 125 and is p2p with the non-EP version.

    What package are they using for the 3253? The only p2p is the TS3A5017-Q1 but it's the VQFN package only. This would be a good choice for the 3253 if powered-off protection is important. A good replacement for a non-P2P device would be the TMUX1309 if powered-off protection isn't an important feature for the customer.

    Hi Howard,

    TMUX1574 is a newer device and a replacement for the SN74CBTLV3257 device. The device is available in industry standard TSSOP, uQFN and small SOT-23 leaded package. This device has wider supply voltage. higher bandwidth and supports -40C to 125C temperature.

    Additional features include 1.8V logic compatibility, Fail-safe logic (control pins can be powered before supply), and Powered-off protection.
