TMUX1237: Switch for eARC signal

Part Number: TMUX1237
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1119

Hi all,

The customer wants us to recommend the switch(1-to-2) for the eARC signal, the maximum bandwidth will be 37 Mbits/sec.

The related response mentioned that the bandwidth has to be 2-3 times the maximum bandwidth we need.

Will you recommend this device, or there is a better suggestion?

Best Regards

Evan

  • Hi Evan,

The TMUX1237 is fine for the application - it has 250MHz of Bandwidth with a low 3 Ohm Typical On Resistance at VDD =  5V for a lower insertion loss.

However if the customer wants less signal degradation and less leakage from the switch we also have the TMUX1119 which offers a slightly lower on resistance, lower charge injection due to switching, and lower leakage than the TMUX1237 - but it is a bit more expensive due to the precision features offered.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to let me know!

    Best,

    Parker Dodson
