TMUX136: Compatibility for I3C application

Part Number: TMUX136

Hello team,

I proposed this part as the switch of I3C signal, so would you like to help us check whether it has any issue using this part?

Thanks.

Antony

  • Hi Anthony,

The TMUX136 is a 2ch, 2:1 high speed passive switch that operates using a 2.3V to 4.8V supply. Since it is a passive switch, the main functionality of the device is to pass signal from COMx pins to either Ax pins or Bx pins with minimal impact to the signal.

Since I3C supports both Push-pull and Open-drain operation to maintain compatibility with I2C systems, as long as the customer takes care of this requirement on the system board they are good to use this device or a passive switch in general for switching signals.

The device supports data rates upto 4.5Gbps and has a ultra-low CON/COFF capacitance (<2pF/pin) which makes it a good fit for I3C applications where the bus load capacitance specification is ~50pF.

Additional features supported: 1.8V logic compatible (SEL, EN/ pins) and powered off protection.

    Thank you,

    Sandesh
