SN74AUC2G66: Analog and digital switch

Part Number: SN74AUC2G66

What is the difference between an Analog switch and a Digital switch? Which switch type to better for Clock signals(100MHz clock)?

Thanks

Santosh

  • Hi Santosh,

The analog switches can be used for both analog and digital signals vs the digital switches can only be used for digital signals.

All our switches are analog passive switches which means they can be used for analog signals and/or digital signals. They can be used for the clock signal use case and support higher frequencies too (some upto Ghz).

The SN74AUC2G66 that you mentioned, is a 2ch, 1:1 switch and can be used for 100Mhz operation.

If you can provide the supply voltage, switch configuration - like #channels, configuration (1:1, 1:2, 1:4 ..), frequency/ bandwidth (seems like 100Mhz), we can help you identify the best option.

Alternatively, you can also explore the available options using our parametric selection tool at link below.

    Thank you,
