TS5A3159A: How much voltage can TS5A3159A endure in Power-Down Mode

Part Number: TS5A3159A

Hi team,

My customer noticed that TS5A3159A has a function of  Isolation in Power-Down Mode. This means its COM/NC/NO pin can accept signal when the device is powered off without damaging the device.

But my customer wants to know when the device is powered off, how much voltage can COM/NC/NO endure? When the device is powered off, is there a restricted value that when the input signal is beyond it, the input signal will be leaked to the output side ?Thanks.

Best regards,

Wayne

  • Hi Wayne,

The VI/O pins (COM, NC, NO) can be subjected to voltages from 0V to 5.5V when the supply V+ = 0V.

The INC(PWROFF), INO(PWROFF) and ICOM(PWROFF) parametric specifications from the electrical characteristics table specify the maximum current the switch will leak under this condition and the numbers are in the range of +/-1uA at 25C and +/-20uA at full operating temperature.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Thank you,

    Regards,
    Sandesh
