MUX508: Switch to Ground - Multiplexing in h-bridge configuration

Part Number: MUX508

Hello,

I want to realize a circuit where a constant current has to be switched between multiple different loads. As the current of max 3mA and voltage of max 25V is not going to be a lot I thought of using multiple multiplexers since the design has to be as small as possible.

Is it possible to use multiple MUX508 to realize an h-bridge configuration? Can it switch to ground?

With kind regards,

T. Koslowski

  • The TMUX508 (and other muxes) can switch any voltage between GND and the supply voltage.

  • Hi Tom,

The MUX508 can be used for rail to rail operation between VSS and VDD. Since you are primarily operating on the positive voltage side (0V to 25V), you can use the device in single supply mode with VSS tied to GND (0V), VDD = 25V and the signal on S/D pins can be anywhere between 0V to VDD (25V).

The device supports 30mA maximum continuous current through the switch as mentioned in the absolute maximum ratings table.

Please let us know if any other questions.

    Thank you,

    Regards,
    Sandesh
