SN74CBTLV3253: /OE Always Enabled, S0/1 Pulled Low: Concern over strength of pull-down?

Part Number: SN74CBTLV3253

Hi Team,

My customer is using this device. They have /OE tied to GND through a 365kOhm resistor. Do you have any concerns over the strength of the pull-down?

Also, the default set-up is with both S0 and S1 pulled low through 10kOhm resistors, with "No Stuff" resistor placeholders pulled to 3v3. This is for debug. Any concern over strength of pull-downs?

What would you recommend?

Thanks,

Joe

  • Joe,

The digital control logic pins of the signal switches are buffered inverters and it will not matter the strength of the pull-up or pull-down resistors.

You can select strength of the pull up or pull downs based on other system requirements like the strength of your MCU or processor controlling sending the signal to the control logic pins of the switch.

    Thank you,

    Adam
