My customer is looking for LAN switch, but they want to put the controller after the transformer of the connector, which is the same side with the ethernet cable.

May I ask if this configuration is available to use?

The TS3L501E is a bidirectional passive FET switch so it doesn't matter where you put the switch in the system as long as the voltage and currents exposed to the device are within the recommended operating conditions.
The most common issue people run into with using this device is exposing it to negative voltages which are outside the recommended operating conditions.
