SN74LV4051A: Compare with 74LV4051PW

Part Number: SN74LV4051A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1208

Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

We would like use TI SN74LV4051A to replace NXP 74LV4051PW

Our VCC will use on 1.6-1.8v,

The VCC range on NXP is 1-6v, but TI show 2-5.5v.

As TI cross reference there are p2p, right?

So, TI  SN74LV4051A  is suitable for our application?

Thanks!!

  • Shu-Chang,

You are correct that the SN74LV4051A is in the same package and pin out as the NXP 74LV4051 device.  You are also correct Vcc supply range is specified from 2 V to 5.5 V and the NXP device has a wider range of 1V to 6V.  However, the NXP device doesn't specify the Ron at Vcc <2 V as both of these devices Ron will increase as the Vcc decreases.

If you need guaranteed performance with Vdd <2 V I would recommend the TMUX1208 device that is in the same package but it has different pinout.

    Thank you,

    Adam
