Part Number: TS5A3153
E2E,
I'm looking for an analog switch (not sure whether SPDT can do the job) with the following specs:
Do you confirm TS5A3153 is the right device to consider?
Thanks in advance for your kind support,
Adam
Hi Adam,
1. You need a 2:1 device to have a normally open (NO), normally closed (NC), and high impedance state (tri-state), To achieve the high impedance state when the switch is powered you will need to find a device with an enable (EN) or inhibit (IN) pin to disable the entire signal path.
To achieve the high impedance requirement when the switch is powered off or Vdd= 0V you will need to find a device with powered off protection.
Using the Ti.com search tool, you can filter for 2:1 device, powered off protection feature, and <5 V supply. and sort on price. The first couple of results do not have an enable pin to achieve the high impedance state when the switch is powered up so the TS5A3153 is a good choice that has the enable pin.
2. The switch has powered-off protection and offers Isolation in the Powered-Off Mode, V+ = 0 .See the leakage spec for NC, NO and COM when V+=0
3. The Inputs signal range for this device is 0 to V+ - Depending on if you are using 3.3V or 5V supply, it can provide rail to rail support.
Thanks
