TS3A44159: Asking for TS3A44159 design review

Part Number: TS3A44159

Hi team,

Would you please help review and provide comment for TS3A44159 schematic?

BR,

SHH

  • Hi Shh,

Here are few comments on the schematic and overall looks good.

COM in notes below is w.r.t the TS3A44159 device and not the Function "COM" from the use case.

    Notes:

    - Supply voltage of 3.3V is supported by the device and the decoupling capacitor is good.

    - The recommended signal voltage on the COMx/NCx/NOx pins is 0V - VCC i.e. 0V to 3.3V in this case on the SPDTx nets.

    - When INx pins are L (VIL per table 6.8 of datasheet), the COM to NC switches are ON and they are bi-directional.

    - When INx pins are H (VIH per table 6.8 of datasheet), the COM to NO switches are ON and they are bi-directional.

    - NC1 is tied to GND potential which means when the NC1 to COM1 path is ON, SPDT1 will be GND potential.

    - NC3 has been left no connect. The best practice and recommendation is to tie this unused pin to GND using a 50ohm resistor to prevent any signal reflections back into the device. (Section 9.2.2 of the datasheet). If not using a termination resistor, you can tie it directly to GND. Note that SPDT3 will see this signal when the NC to COM path is ON.

Please let us know if any further questions.

    Thank you,

    Sandesh
