SN74CB3Q3257: HSPICE Model questions about SN74CB3Q3257

Part Number: SN74CB3Q3257
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TEST2

Hello BU team,

Customer is using the HSPICE Model, but found it shows "encrypted", so could you kindly help us check why?

pls refer to below connection, the input data is test1, the output data is test2, but why there only has test1 on the last table?

Thanks,

Antony

  • Hi Antony,

Is the customer able to run the model at all?

We do typically encrypt our spice files - what simulation software is the customer using?

I am not 100% on what are recommended simulators are for HSPICE - but I will check with my team to see how we run our encrypted files on our backend and if your customer is using a different simulator that might be the issue - please let me know!

  • Hi Parker,

    Thank you.

customer is using ADS software to run this model.

    Regards,

    Antony

  • Hi Antony,

So I have confirmed the file is supposed to be encrypted . However it should still be able to be ran using the HF simulator in ADS while encrypted.

You should be able to set up test benches and simulation even though it says encrypted.

Please let me know if this resolves the customer issue - or if it does not could you provide error messages that are being seen by the customer so I can dig a bit deeper into this.

  • Hi Parker,

How about question 2, it looks like the model can't work well?

    Thanks,

    Antony

  • Hi Antony,

I am currently debugging the file to see if I can find the issue. I am not sure what exactly is wrong so it might take me until Monday 1/25. I will update you with what I find out.

  • Hi Antony,

We explored multiple options to decrypt the model in last week and at this point we are not able to support Hspice related requests due to software licensing availability. We are identifying other ways to support this in the future but we don’t have a definite timeline. We will add this device to our Pspice model development backlog for future support. I will follow up with you by email.
