Could I use SCL_A_B / SDA _A_B and HPD_A_B / CEC_A_B pins of TS3DV642 as general purpose LVDS signal switching?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3DV642

Hi all.

TS3DV642 has four 2:1 or 1:2 multiplexers(D0:D3).
These multiplexers can switch general purpose LVDS signal.
 Could I use SCL_A_B / SDA _A_B and HPD_A_B / CEC_A_B  as general purpose LVDS signal switching?
If I could use these channels as LVDS switching, does this device have 6ch LVDS SW?

If you know the information that this device is used as LVDS SW,
please tell me the case example or success story.

Best Regards,
Sho Ogane

  • Sho,

Yes, you could I use SCL_A_B / SDA _A_B and HPD_A_B / CEC_A_B signal paths on the TS3DV642  as general purpose LVDS signal switching.  These paths are not different than the other signal paths in the device but are labeled differently to match up with the signals used in HDMI applications.
