TS3DS10224: the best device for SGMII 1.25Gbps

customer is looking for 1 to 2 switch for SGMII 1.25Gbps.

 

  1. One or Two channel. Higher is also OK if the price can meet their demand.
  2. LVDS connection.
  3. Higher than 1G application.
  4. Bidirectional

 

they found TS3DS10224 is good but only for 720MHz application. Do we have higher speed part for customer?

    Ranita,

    We have several LVDS bidirectional 2:1 devices that can switch >1Ghz signals.

    What do you think about the TS3L500 device I found on the TI.com switches and multiplexers parametric tools filtering on 2:1 switch parameter and sorting the bandwidth parameter. 

    Here is another e2e post that has link inside to other Ethernet type switches.

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for your promotion. But the TS3L500 may not suitable for this application. Sorry for not so detail in the requirement description.

    The signal is SGMII, the speed is 1.25G. In 1000base-t, the speed is only 125Mbps. So TS3L500 may also cannot satisfied the application.

    Please ignore the 1000M PHY switch. The requirement are as below

    1. One or Two channel. Higher is also OK if the price can meet their demand.
    2. LVDS connection.
    3. Higher than 1G application
    4. Bidirectional

    Martin,

    What didn't you like about the devices in the link I sent in the link above?    The TS3L500 Bandwidth is >1000MHz.  There are several parts with >1GHz bandwidth including the TS3DV642 which is 7.5GHz bandwidth.
