Issue with ROV in CCSv5.1

Hello,

Whenever I attempt to use ROV when running CCSv5.1 on either Win XP or Ubuntu, I get the folowing error: XDC path or XDC Tools location not set. Set project/global RTSC preferences and relaunch ROV.

I have pointed CCS to xdctools through window->Preferences->CCS->RTSC->Products. I have it pointed to XDCTools 3.22.4.46.

Is there another location ROV is refering to?

Hello,

what do you see in the attached screenshot. Window->Preferences->Code Composer Studio->RTSC? Do you also have things selected here? Or is yours pretty much blank like in the below screenshot? Have you tried setting this? Note this applies to the entire workspace.

Mine is totally blank, except I have an XDCTools version selected. So it sounds like ROV requires those to be checked to function?

Hello, yes at the very least at the project level, it should know what version of the ICP or RTSC or SYS/BIOS tools to use. I do hope this helps. Please keep us posted.

Once I added the other products to the workspace ROV start working normally.
