How to convert an Executable project type to a Static Library

Hello - is there documentation available with guidelines on converting a project which is currently set to the Executable type into a project which creates a Static Library. I realize that many things will need to change but I'm hoping I don't have to start the Static Library project from scratch, adding files etc.

I'm running CCS 5.1.0.09000, writing DSP code for a DM816X, using sysBios 6.32.1.38, IPC 1.23.3.31, sysLink 2.0.6.87, UIA 1.0.3.25.
