can not connect to core 0 of 6678

Dear all

There is one 6678 and a XDS100V1 on my PCB. When I tried to connected 6678 through XDS100V1, core1 ~core7 can be connected, core1~core7 can run the .out file of Helloworld. But I can not connect to core 0 of 6678. the problem is below. why? Any advice will be nice.

  • Hi,

Since you are able to connect to all other cores, for some reason this core is being held in reset by an external agent (software running on other cores blocking this one, PLL misconfiguration) or somehow the core itself or parts of it may be powered down (failure in some DVDD lines), which makes the emulator believe it is held in reset.

From a pure software standpoint there is not much to be done, apart from inspecting the status of this core by accessing the ICEPICK core (check this discussion for additional details).

If the core status is shown as powered down or in reset no matter what is the board configuration or status, then it is possible you have a faulty device.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael
