Frequency out of range error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C123GH6PM

Sir

I am using TIVA Launchpad TM4C123GXL. While working in Win 7 I have not find any problem with my launchpad. But Now I have installed CCS V5 in Win XP 2 and also tivaware in my PC.

I have wrote a program for blinking LEDs in the Launchpad built without error. But while writing to Flash an error is coming, "error connecting to the target : Frequency is out of range " in a popup window with heading "Stellaris In Circuit Debug Interface/CORTEX_M4_0"

Please guide me to get out of this problem

thanking you

Prasanth KN

  • Hi Prasanth,

Check your "Device Manager" for the drivers to be installed properly or not. If you observe a yellow alert signal in front of the Launchpad driver then there is some issue while loading the drivers.

    Gautam

  • If it does turn out to be a driver installation issue as pointed out by Gautam, you can refer to this post for more information on reinstalling the drivers.

  • Hi Thiva,

Have you made your launchpad work before to any example programs? There should be a readme first file for this launchpad that will guide you to run the pre-loaded example program.

Connect your Tiva launchpad to your PC and post a picture of you Device Manager here. If you have not installed the Stellaris ICDI drivers, download from the TI website and install the drivers.
