CCS6 + Ubuntu : Which 'connection' to select while creating the project?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGIA, TM4C1294NCPDT

Hi,

I'm on Ubunru 14.04 and have installed CCS6.

I want to use my Tiva C Series TM4C1294 Connected Launchpad with CCS. I am able to program my launchpad using energia in sudo mode.

While creating the project, I want to know which option to choose for? I selected my target as 'Tiva TM4C1294NCPDT'. The following options are listing under the connections selection( in braces are the Errors I got while clicking the 'verify button )( I'm running CCS as root ) :

1. Data Snapshot Viewer.......................................................( Verify button not active )

2. Stellaris In-Circuit Debug Interface.................................( Verify button not active )

3. Texas Instruments XDS 100v2 USB Emulator...............'SC_ERR_FTDI_OPEN'

4. Texas Instruments XDS 100v3 USB Emulator...............'SC_ERR_FTDI_OPEN'

5. Texas Instruments XDS2xx USB Emulator.....................'SC_ERR_ECOM_EMUNAME'

6. Texas Instruments XDS2xx Onboard Emulator.............'SC_ERR_ECOM_EMUNAME'

7. Texas Instruments XDSICDI USB Emulator...................'SC_ERR_ICDI_OPEN'

Thanks ahead,

vish

  • Hi Vishnu,

Unforunately I don't have that board in front of me, but from the product sight, and the launchpad I do have, I believe it has the stellaris in-circuit debug interface.

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi,

    The problem got solved.

    What I did was -

    1. installed libusb-1.0-0:i386 and libusb-1.0-0-dev:i386 packages.

    2. Then ran this command :

    sudo apt-get install libc6-i386 libx11-6:i386 libasound2:i386 libatk1.0-0:i386 libcairo2:i386 libcups2:i386 libdbus-glib-1-2:i386 libgconf-2-4:i386 libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0:i386 libgtk-3-0:i386 libice6:i386 libncurses5:i386 libsm6:i386 liborbit2:i386 libudev1:i386 libusb-0.1-4:i386 libstdc++6:i386 libxt6:i386 libxtst6:i386 libgnomeui-0:i386 libusb-1.0-0-dev:i386 libcanberra-gtk-module:i386
