How to export the CPtrace information on runtime using Ctools?

Hi,

Our team is building up an application on 6638 Hawking EVM.

We plan to ship out the DDR performance metrics (throughput, latency, waiting time) collected in CPtrace during the runtime. But we don't find an example to do it.

Could you please help to point out the APIs we needed to do this?

Thank you very much.

  • Hi Joe,
Welcome to the TI E2E forum. I hope you will find many good answers here and in the TI.com documents and in the TI Wiki Pages (for processor issues). Be sure to search those for helpful information and to browse for the questions others may have asked on similar topics (e2e.ti.com).
Moving this thread over CCS forum for faster response. Due to holidays, responses may be delayed.
    Thank you for you patience.

  • Posting some links that you might find useful on this topic

Please also check ctoollibs , it might have some relevant examples. I don't know if they have examples specifically for 6639 Hawking EVM.
    Will check with the engineering team once they are back from holidays;

    Yes, specifically cTools_UCLib

    Thanks

  • Dear Ki,

Thank you very much for your reply.

    I checked the cTools_UCLib.

It only provided one way to ship out CPtrace. Please correct me if I am wrong.

It uses STM to ship out the CPtrace and compresses them to store in ETB and transfer out the content after the test application is completed. The content is proprocessed to generate the CPtrace log. (Bebugging Mode)

The user case we want is reading out the CPtrace log using DSP when the test application is running.(Monitoring Mode)

Could you please help to point out some related examples and documentations?

  • Hi Joe,
Sorry for the delayed response. If I understand correctly, I think System Analyzer may fit the bill. See the below wiki link for more details:
