Hello,
I hope someone can help me.
For my new TMS320F28377D I bought an Olimex XDS100 V3. Unfortunately I cannot install the ftdi driver.
I use Win7 64bit with code composer 6.1.0. I already downloaded the latest Emu Pack and tried to
install it manually, without success.
Do somebody have an idea?
I have already uninstalled it and searched for new hardware. No suitable drivers were found. Even when I selected a path to search manually for drivers, no drivers were found :(
Mr. Motz,
I've moved your post to the CCS forum. You should get your question resolved quicker here.
Thank you,
Brett
When you performed the driver uninstall, did you check the option Delete the driver software for this device? This would completely remove the information and prevent any invalid drivers from being pulled when your XDS100v3 is connected again.
The reason I am really suspicious of the device drivers themselves is because my XDS100v3 from Olimex shows in Control Panel as any other XDS100v3 debug probe (sorry for the horrible picture)
Hope this helps,
Rafael
Hi,
Sorry for the delay; I am still intrigued by the string that is shown in the Device Manager (which differs from mine). One last detail that I can think (short of a defective JTAG debugger) is a misconfigured VID/PID on the FTDI device.
Can you check this by right clicking on the device, select the tabs and compare with what is mentioned on mine?
Just a cleanup check I send below the link to the JTAG debugger I have from them:
https://www.olimex.com/Products/DSP/Emulators/TMS320-XDS100-V3/
As a last resource, you can try to set it up in a different PC. If the behavior persists I would contact Olimex support, as it may well be a defective unit.
Hope this helps,
Rafael
