CCS Support for DM3730 and Linux Development Using LTIB

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM3730

I just wanted ask general support questions.

  1. Does current Code Composer Studio (CCS 6) still support the DM3730?
  2. Can the LTIB toolchain be used with CCS on a Linux host?
  3. Can the XDS560 Blackhawk Emulator be used with Linux and CCS?

I'm using the Logic PD Torpedo SOM, and just need to know if the new CCS 6 plays well with this platform, and in particular, the DM3730.  I'm going to be running Linux on the Cortex-A8 and bare metal on the C64x (IVA Subsystem).  But I want to make sure CCS 6 will allow me to develop for this chip with both underlying compiler toolchains.  I'm also assuming the C64x compiler comes with CCS 6 and I do not need to purchase a separate compiler.

  • Hi,

    1. Yes. You need to select the DaVinci family of devices when installing CCS.
    2. I am not 100% sure what LTIB is, but CCS is based on Eclipse and can be used with plain GCC compilers.
    3. Yes.

Also yes for the C64x+ compiler.

    Regards,
