To add compiler, CCS wants to downgrade.

Part Number: CC2538

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have CCS 7.1.0.00016 installed on a laptop & desktop. The desktop is a new installation while the laptop CCS installation has been in use for quite some time. After installing CCS onto the desktop, it offered up a bunch of updates. I unchecked the update of CCS to 7.2.0.00013 but accepted the tools, debuggers, etc.

I have a project in revision control that uses CCS 7.1.0.00016 with ARM compiler 16.9.2.

The fresh installation of CCS on the desktop PC is using compiler 16.9.4. I want to install 16.9.2. But, CCS won't let me unless I update CCS which doesn't make sense because the laptop has 7.1.0.0016 with 16.9.2 and it works fine.

We have several developers and we want all of their CCS installations to be the same and produce the exact same .hex file that is in revision control. However, CCS will not allow that to happen on this desktop.

How can I get the 16.9.2 compiler installed without upgrading CCS? We have other PC's that are configured this way.

See attached images. The file names describe laptop vs. desktop.
