CCS/AM5716: XDS110 Error "SC_ERR_XDS110_TARGET_SUPPLY"

First of all, thanks for sending such detailed post; it certainly helps to quickly diagnose what may be happening.

As it says, the problem is with the TVRef pin - the Debug Probe first evaluates the presence of a high level on pin 5 of the JTAG connector before attempting to communicate with the processor, therefore can you double check if this pin has the supply voltage?

If it does, I would then connect the small 20-pin cable to the board and disconnect it from the XDS110, so you can try to measure the presence of Vcc on the other end of the cable and be sure it is not ruptured.

If the cable works fine (even after moving it a bit to rule out any possible intermittent connections) then I would try to use the XDS110 in another board.

If that does not work, then you probably have a defective unit. As a last desperate measure I would re-flash its firmware and see if it works. In case negative, you need to contact your reseller to proceed with either repair or replacement under warranty.
