Sir,

I have built my custom board out of LAUNCHXL2-570LC4357. When i have connected to PC XDS110 debug probe is not detecting instead its showing 'stellaris Device firmwire upgrade' in device manager. . I have connected through XDS 110 debug probe. Can you help me ..what are the steps i have to follow in order to program TMS570LC4357 controller.

i went through some command prompt command and its showing Tiva device formware update in DFU mode. how to proceed further. I use ccsV7 to program LAUNCHXL2-570LC43 launchpad previously.

Sir,

Adding to above the driver version is showing 1.2.9270.0 dt. 8/3/2012 in windows device manager

Thanks for the details and please apologize for the delay.

From your description, you need to first write the bootloader to the TM4C1294 device and then the firmware.

In the reference below, check the section Troubleshooting ==> Flashing the bootloader for a description on how to proceed with the first step.

Then, check the section "Updating the XDS110 Firmware" to proceed with flashing the XDS110 code into the TM4C1294.

Thanks for reply...I m stuck in between.
should I write boot_loader.bin and firmware.bin file provided with CCSV7 to TM4C129 device through USB and then will it show XDS110 DEBUG PROBE in device manager? after that will I be able to program my TMS570LC4357 through USB ?
kindly confirm sir. I am using the USB cable provided with LAUNCHXL2-570LC43 launchpad.

Hi,

Yes, you must write the bootloader, then the firmware and it should work for you.

I can't understand this assertive. Are you using just the USB cable or the entire Launchpad to program your custom board?

Sir,
thanks for quick response. i have replicated the the launchpad except the ethernet part. i want to program TMS570LC4357 microcontroller of my custom board using the USB cable provided. I have kept TM4C 129 device on my custom board as same as the launchpad.
