CCS: ccs V9 and the C6713dsk

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138, TMDSEMU560V2STM-U

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Thanks for the previous answer.

It's ok to use the lcdk with ccs v9. HOw ever, is there a way I can salvage my 50 C6713DSKs in the realm of ccsV9.

Thanks

You will have to use an external debug probe attached to J8 of the DSK (see section 3.6.2 of the C6713DSK documentation). You will not be able to use the on-board debug probe since it is based off the obsolete XDS510USB, which is no longer supported by CCSv9.

If you wish to use the on-board probe, you will have to stick with CCSv8.3.

    thanks

  • Dan,

Hmm, that is a though scenario, especially due to the amount of boards you have.

    You have two options:

    - Stay with CCSv8.3.0 and use the built in XDS510USB Debug Probe. It is still pretty current and thoroughly supports the C67x family of devices.

    - Update to CCSv9.0.0 and purchase TMDSEMU560V2STM-U Debug Probes. It will support CCSv9 and other architectures (such as the LCDK OMAPL138 mentioned in your other discussion). However, it is an expensive alternative.

I will try to contact other folks and see if they can propose alternatives.

    Regards,
