Hello,

What are the current known issues with TI's ARM Optimizing C/C++ compiler v18.1.4.LTS?

Note that the list in

is listed as having been "Generated on Tue Oct 16 12:43:44 2018".

That is what was known at the time of that release.  To see what has happened since then, check the Open Defects list for the latest related release.

    Thanks and regards,

  • That webpage currently lists 18.1.6.LTS as the latest version for this compiler track, and points to a list of open defects that was "Generated on Fri May 24 14:38:51 2019".

If any additional defects are discovered prior to the release of the next (if any) release, will that list of open defects be updated?

  • We generate the Open Defects document only to accompany a release.  There is no document which is continuously up-to-date with the latest known bugs.

    Thanks and regards,

  • At the moment we're in reasonably good shape, given that the current lists were generated fairly recently.

In general, however, how would you recommend checking for more recent issues?

I've done some amount of looking directly in SDOWP.  I'm running into problems making custom searches; I presume this is related to running with a readonly account.

There are some public queries in SDOWP which are specific to certain older compilers, such as 5.2.X and 15.12.X.  Can the public searches be updated to include 18.1.X and 18.12.X?

Unfortunately, the only solution right now is viewing the defect lists from the most recent release.  We are aware of this gap in our support, and we are considering ways to address it.

    Thanks and regards,
