Part Number: TMS320F280049

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am working on the C2000 F28004x control card witch has a F280049 microcontroller on it.

I am trying to perform a SFRA analysis but i encounter some isues.

I followed the TIDM-02002 application note but I am stuck at the sfra step :

I can successfully connect to to control bord port COM through usb and the debugg probe works fine: LifeLED for SFRA blink as said in the applicatino note and UART leds Rx and tx also bllink.

But When I start the sweep nothing happens.

Here are some screenshots.

Thank you for your help.

  • Hi,

I see you have Lab1 selected, please note we only allow SFRA on lab 2 and above.

Can you try with Lab2, this is also how it is documented in the UG

    http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidueg2b/tidueg2b.pdf

  • Hello,

Thank you for your response, unfortunately the problem still remains after trying LAb 2 and  6  ( Open loop prim ->sec protections and Open loop Sec->Prim without protections).

Maybe is it a setting/includes/path problem?

If needed I can send you the project folder?

    Best regards.

Your project view looks very different than what I will expect specially under the sfra lib folder.

Can you please tell what were the exact steps you used to import the project ?

I tried on my end and am able to run the SFRA sweep as is.

  • In reply to Manish Bhardwaj:

    Hello,

I followed the procedure 3.1.2.1 Opening the Project Inside Code Composer Studio in TIDUEG2B application note  and I restarted the project from scratch.

I can build the project at this step sweep is written on the interface but it stays stuck and there is no pregression bar( Config:Lab2 , SFRA : Voltage mode.)

Still, at this step I have not changed include options (procedure detailled in  SPRUIK4A but not in TIDUEG2B so i don't know if I have to follow these instructions). See below the default settup of the project.

Do I have to modifiy include option and File Search path as said in SPRUIK4A ?

    Thank you for your help.

I also noticed you have selected CLA for the control running on ,

can you move this to C28x , CLA does not support SFRA

also make sure you check the settings match the document

3.2.2.2.1 Setting Software Options for Lab 2, step 3 ?

  • In reply to Manish Bhardwaj:

Ok this has solved my issue,  indeed  CLA is not supported by SFRA.

    Thank you for your help

PS: may I suggest to write something about this in the next review :)

  • In reply to Manish Bhardwaj:

And last question about that, where is the location in the project of the Csv file created (i let "Save SFRA Data as csv" checked)?

    Best regards.

    Cédric LAURENT

  • In reply to user6211664:

    see section

    3.2.2.9 Running on CLA,

    there is note for this.

  • In reply to user6211664:

It will be saved in the project tree under SFRA folder as shown above, if you invoke SFRA from the powerSUITE project.
