Is there any way to communicate TI controller with python ide?Iam using Dev 8301 motor control kit. With code composer studio I programmed the controller with Insta spin bloc control program. Is there any way to command the controller using python control program?if yes please give an example to modify bldc control program,so that I can give commands to controller using user program.thnku

Unfortunately, we don't have such example with Python IDE in InstaSPIN software, you might use the SCI or other interface to implement the communication, but you have to code the function by yourself, or you can post on some engineering forums to see if there is any examples.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Actually for my application I need a GUI to control motor for speed control, position control of the motor. For my work I need to control 6 motors. For 6 motors, I'm planning to use 6 drives. I need a UI to control all the motors in co-ordination. Is there any way to develop a UI to control the motors in co-ordination?

If yes, please help me. Thank you. Is GUI Composer RunTime meet my requirements. Thank you.

Thanks for the info. I downloaded guicomposerv1 to my PC and tried importing the INSTASPINBLDC_GUI project. Im still unclear about the procedure. For my PC there is no internet connection. Is there a way to load GUI projects and work on the kit offline. Please help. Thank you

INSTASPINBLDC_GUI is legacy software, not based on GUI composer, you might take a look at its guide that has very detailed description. You may find some examples based on GUI composer and following the instruction to design your own GUI that can work offline also. Generally, the GUI uses the JTAG emulator as the interface.

Unfortunately there is not an offline version of the GUI Composer version at dev.ti.com. I believe only the older version within CCS will work offline.

As Yanming said, we don't have a Python IDE that we can share as a started point for you, but if that's something you're familiar with and could create yourself, you may want to check out our Debug Server Scripting which can be used with Python. You can also take the approach Yanming mentioned earlier using the SCI peripheral to talk to a COM port.
