CCS/MSP430F5528: MSP-FET

Part Number: MSP430F5528
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-FET, MSP-FLASHER

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I'm using the MSP-TS430RGC64USB with MSP-FET.

When I connect my MSP-FET to CCS 10.0, it starts configuring Debugger, it says (Error initializing emulator. A firmware update is required). Upon clicking update, it starts the update process but then it shows me an error that says "Error initlziating emulator, could not set device Vcc". I looked up solutions, and it said try to use the MSP-Flasher. When I run the MSP-Flasher, this is the error that pops up.

C:\ti\MSPFlasher_1.3.19>MSP430Flasher.exe -w "Firmware.txt" -v -g -z [VCC]

As you can see, there's conflicting information from CCS and MSPFlasher, CCS says I need an update, Flasher says I do not but then fails.

How can I go about fixing this?

Thanks.

  • Hi Raghav,

I would suggest trying Uniflash and see what information it reports.  Let me know what you find.
