CCS/TMS570LS1224: cannot load file to Flash anymore

Hello Yves,

Is the only main difference the XDS110 firmware update? Did you also make some modifications to your application and rebuild it before trying to load the program?

I updated the TI Emu Pack version in my CCS 10.1.1 installation to 9.2.1.00042 and then updated the firmware for one of my Hercules LaunchPads to 3.0.0.14. It was successful and I had no issues flashing the program again to the target. I did use a different LaunchPad however (LAUNCHXL2-RM46). I will see if I can find the same LaunchPad you are using and try it with that one.

One thing to try would be to lower the TCLK frequency.

In your project there should be a target configuration file (.ccxml).  Double-click on that.

Select the advanced tab at the bottom.  

Then click on Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe in the tree at the top left.

This will show the properties that are set for the debug probe.  It is likely set for 5.5MHz like this:

I had to rebuild the project before trying to load.

I noticed that TI Emu Pack was updated lately.

How can I update CCS to 10.1.1 ?

I still cannot load the program.

As I mentioned in my initial post, the Uniflash utility is still working with the same hardware.

I installed CCS 10.1.1 and took the proposed updates (ARM compiler, TI EmuPack 9.2.1.00042) and my problem remains :

CortexR4: Loader: One or more sections of your program falls into a memory region that is not writable. These regions will not actually be written to the target. Check your linker configuration and/or memory map.
CortexR4: File Loader: Verification failed: Values at address 0x00000000 do not match Please verify target memory and memory map.

I was able to try on a LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012 and I can reproduce the issue when I update to EMU PACK 9.2.1.00042. I will file a bug for this.

Unfortunately there is no clean way to do this. I would recommend reinstalling CCS but declining the update for the EMU pack.

As a temporary fix, I will re-install CCS 10.1.1 and ignore the EMU Pack update.

However, I will wait for a more permanent fix to click 'This resolved my issue' !
