CCSv3.3 XDS510USB Logic PD AM1808EVM

Trying to use CCSv3.3 SR12 with XDS510USB emulator and Logic PD AM1808EVM.

Following instructions here:

I went to Spectrum Digital site and downloaded this driver release patch because my

CCS 2.X/3.X Driver Disk for SD Emulators disk is very old (7/22/2005)

When CCS starts I get, "Unable to load c:\CCSudio_v3.3\drivers\sdgoicepickusb_c.dvr".

This file does not exist.

    Did you just install the patch only? If so, that would explain the error. You need to install the full 3.03.30 driver before installing the patch update.

    Thanks!  That helped me get further, but now on CCS startup I get:

    Error Initializing Emulator

    I/O Port = 510

    Board Name: AM1808_SD510USB

    Cpu Name: ARM9_0

     

    Device Manager shows SD USB Based Debug Tools -> Spectrum Digital XDS510 USB and reports that

    the device is working properly.

    I ran SDConfigv3.3 and got good status:

    ** Using emulation application from directory c:\ccstudio_v3.3\drivers
     **Emulator is reset


    ** Using emulation application from directory c:\ccstudio_v3.3\drivers
    ** Checking for a valid emulator/eZdsp

      $$ You are connected to:
      $$ EmuProductName=XDS510USB
      $$ EmuPortAddr=0x510
      $$ EmuPortMode=USB
      $$ ProductId=510
      $$ ProductVersion=84

    Hi Michael,

    Sorry for the late response. I was looking for an AM1808 board to play with. I found one (LogicPD AM1808 EVM). I was able to connect to the EVM using an SD XDS510USB emulator with CCSv3.3 SR12.

    I've attached the *.ccs file I'm using which I created from scratch. You'll need to modify the location of the AM1808.gel file referenced in the *.ccs file. Does this look similar to what you are using?

    Thanks.  The AM1808 issue was handled by another team.

    I have since purchased the SD XDS560v2, but I have not had the opportunity to use it yet.

    I am working with all of the Sitara ARM EVMs (AM35x  / AM37x / AM18x / AM389x / AM387x).
