Unable to load program in MCU

Hi all,

We recently puchased a High voltage motor control kit with F28035 control card. I am able to connect to the card using CCS, build and debug a sample program (V/f control that comes with the Control suite). However i am unable to run the program. To be precise, in debug mode, the options in Tools menu like run, reset, load, reload are all greyed out. similarly with the script menu. Can anybody help me?

Also i had another question regarding M3 J4 jumper. Should it be populated if I am using CCS to program and load?

Thanks

Make sure that your Debug view is open when you are in the debug perspective in CCS. If this is inadvertantly closed, the icons for run, halt etc will not be visible.

Could you please post this question in the C2000 device forum as the folks there will be able to provide a better answer on this.

  • Thanks Aarti for the reply. The debug view is open and I can see those icons of run , halt but they are all deactivated/disabled....I cant turn them on or off.

For the other question i will post it on C2000 forum...

    Looking forward to your help,

    thanks

How exactly do you initiate the debug session? Do you click on the "Debug Active Project" or do you select the target configuration file (.ccxml) and launch a debug session? If you're using the 2nd method, you need to connect to the target before you can see the Run, Halt buttons activated. It might help to see a screenshot of your CCS debug perspective. Could you post it here?

  • Step: 1Building Project:

    Step 2: After Bilding

    Step 3: Debug

Step 4: While debugging this shows up....

Step 5: And finally the pop up window goes away and this is what remains....

The menus I was talking about....

After this I cant do anything…..

Let me know if you need anything

    Thanks
