ETB Remote Memory

hi

I am using ccs5.5, I find that the  "custom trace configurations " has a ETB Remote Memory, when I choose it,

there is a Buffer/IP Address and Buffer Size/Core ID in receiver settings ,  I am not sure whether the address is referring to

the address of dsp or others? If it 's dsp's address, it means that the trace data will be stored in the Buffer/IP Address?

Best Regards,

si

  • Si,

If you are using one of the C66x devices, check slide 6 of this presentation hosted in our wiki site. It mentions the ETB can be drained to an arbitrary address in the RAM area.

Also, if you click on the question mark it opens the context-sensitive help. Simply scroll down to reach the Receiver/Transport Settings hyperlink and check the explanation of all settings of this screen.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael
