write readWord() output into a file using dss

Use memory.saveData. It will save to a *.dat file, which is basically a text format.

Perhaps you will want to take a look at the "save" methods (save, saveRaw, saveData, etc.)

In the DSS API guide (located at ccsv6/ccs_base/scripting/docs/DS_API/index.html) search for the methods of the class Memory (in the left menu).
